The Orange County Home Visitation Collaborative (OCHVC)

 

The Orange County Home Visitation Collaborative provides intensive home visitation, parent education, and mental health counseling services for at-risk families with children 0-5. County-wide services are   provided by the Orange County Child Abuse Prevention Center and the Children's Bureau of Southern California. This case management program offers linkage to health resources (medical insurance, immunizations and healthcare home) with a focus on parent education and family support. Developmental screenings, home safety assessment and education are also provided. Length of service varies depending on client need. Services are available for up to two years depending on need.

In-home mental health services are also available. Counseling is provided in the home in English and Spanish, from 8 to 16 weeks.  

Program Eligibility:

  • Families with children 0-5 years of age
  • Currently living in Orange County
  • Families at risk of abuse or neglect
  • Families with a history of abuse (ie: physical, emotional, substance)
  • Families in a prolonged state of crisis
  • Interest in participating in this program

How to refer:

OC-HVC services are provided by the Children's Bureau of Southern California and the Orange County Child Abuse Prevention Center.   To determine which agency provides services in your area, find your city of residence in the list below.
