|
The FaCT Principles listed below are not in priority order. All FaCT Principles have equal priority:
- Actively engage the broad community including local residents, faith groups, business, public and private organizations, civic groups, etc. in the planning and implementation of services that promote the well-being, safety, and permanency of children, families, and communities
- Be community-based and maximize opportunities to provide integrated, coordinated, and easily accessible resources for families that assure the successful linkage of program participants with needed services
- Affirm families' cultural, ethnic, and linguistic identities and enhance their ability to function in a multicultural society
- Be family-centered and family-friendly
- Be outcome driven and identify indicators that accurately reflect progress towards the stated goals
- Employ program strategies based on principles that have been demonstrated to be effective with the target populations to be served
- Identify and address family and child abuse issues in the community with an emphasis on prevention, early intervention, and permanency
- Identify and address substance abuse problems, including prevention and access to intervention strategies
- Demonstrate the ability, now and in the future, to integrate multiple public, private, and collaborative funding sources.
